Please redirect me if I need to be in ESR or HD loader forums.I have finally got FMCB installed to my Memory Card see all the normal option (ESR. HD loader and all) but I am not 100% sure how to load up from a usb drive.I have been told you have to patch with ESR patcher and then mount with a program (I hear to use DVD Decrypter) and this will work, but this is only if you are burning the iso to a dvd-r no? So I need hd loader. Which it says I need to have a hdd. So I need to convert my USB thumb drive to a Hdd right? Or will ISO HDD loading only work in PHAT ps2s? I am currently using my friends slim.Any help will be great thanks.:).

You just need to rename them and put them in the right folder. Games over 4gig will have to be ripped with USBExtreme cos of the 4gig file limit of the FAT32 file system. Loading from USB is very slow on the PS2 cos of the 1.1USB ports. Much better to stream them from your PC over the network.

Well I am wanting to make a Portable out of the one I am using. So which would be fore effecting. USB loading or PC streaming?for a portable conversion USB would be the way unless you are going to shoehorn in a eth to wireless adaptor so you can stream from your home network.for a portable USB you could change FMCB to boot direct into OPL, or you could also try PS2ESDL ( i hope i got the spelling right)i got a slim and a PS2 portable screen to make a portable handheld unit but never got around to it.

It is a fairly straightforward process that almost any regular gamer will be able to complete. Right click and copy both the 'FREEMCBOOT.ELF' and 'INSTALL' files. Open your USB stick drive window. Click the drive file containing your USB stick. Paste the files onto your USB stick drive window.Turn on your PS2.
